Frequently Asked Questions

IS THIS A FAMILY EVENT

This is strictly a 21 and over event – so leave the little ones at home. Everyone entering the fest must present a valid government issued ID.

CAN I BRING MY DOG

We love dogs but unfortunately no dogs are allowed into the fest. Plus, dogs shouldn’t drink beer.

CAN I BRING MY OWN FOOD OR DRINKS

No outside food or drinks are allowed inside the festival – this includes bottled water. Once inside the fest water will be provided for drinking and rinsing your glass. The only exception is pretzel necklaces.

CAN I BRING MY OWN CHAIR

If you are particularly attached to your chair you can bring it into the fest.

WHERE CAN I PARK

Are you driving to Ale Fest? There are many parking opportunities in the city.

Chicago Ale Fest Winter Edition:

Navy Pier also has their own lot at 600 E. Grand Avenue

Chicago Ale Fest Summer Edition:

There are many parking lots available near Butler Field

WILL THERE BE FOOD AVAILABLE

Yes, some of Chicago’s favorite food trucks will be there

WHY ARE THERE DRINK TICKETS

Because there are laws. And we like to keep in compliance with them. It’s complicated, and you can read all about it HERE, but basically, just trust us — this is how it needs to be. Chicago Ale Fest ticket holders will receive 20 drink tickets when they arrive. Each drink ticket can be exchanged for a 3 oz sample and additional tickets will be available for $0.50.

I CAN NO LONGER ATTEND - CAN I GET A REFUND

All ticket sales are final, and we don’t offer exchanges or refunds. Why don’t you find someone who would dig a giant craft beer fest and give your tickets to them out of the kindness of your heart?

WILL TICKETS BE AVAILABLE AT THE GATE

Yes, tickets will be available for purchase at the gate.

Tickets to the 2017 Chicago Ale Fest - Summer Edition go on sale Thursday, March 23rd at 10:00 am.
